Book 3 side story

So I always include a short extra story in the back of the YU+ME books, something that hasn't been online. I'm a little bit stuck for ideas of what to do in the back of book 3. Any ideas? Book 3 includes YU+ME Part 1 issues 8 and 9, so it ends with her waking up. It doesn't have to be related to that, and it shouldn't be too important (i.e., include things essential to the rest of the story). This is a little filler story, like the episodes in the middle of a season of Buffy. Entertaining, but not relevant to the overall plot.

So... ideas!

I assume you don't want to include anything revealed in part 2, so a side story about Lucy trying to help cover the situation involving the dance would most likely be out.

Yeah, it can only include things up to her waking up.

Oh, but (on rereading right now) in Issue 9 Conscience mentions an "evaluation", so what about maybe a story involving Conscience handling duties, or delivering a report to superiors maybe? Or maybe something about Conscience's home life, that would be neat. I imagine her having a small studio apartment somewhere, and a pet cat named "Alfonze".

Hmm... howzabout a flash back to when Sadako visited Lia's house in issue 6-ish? Perhaps you could shed some light on what was happening then?

I know that this is a bit irrelevant, but, when do you think it would be okay to show the side stories on the web? Cuz I mean, if I really had the money, I would buy the graphic novels, but I can't sooo >.> yeah~

And if that's not the case, then that's all right , I'll be on my merry way *skips away*

(btw, I totally say go for the Conscience(spck?) side story, you aren't really letting out any spoilers and it would make an intresting side story )

I third the Conscience side story. I think a lot of people wouldn't mind seeing more of her. Something about being evaluated, and her apartment, maybe a stuffy cubicle that she works at when she's not with Fi. And definitely the cat. She must have a cat, and a lot of Paula Abdule CDs (okay, that last one would really only be for my benefit)

Sara Side Story...
A back story for Sara. Only have it from the real Sara's dream perspective. Also when you put the side story into the next book. You can have Lucy being an impersonator playing Fiona's part so she could study Sara for her roll in Fiona's dream.

Sorry if that's 2 side story ideas that you don't want...

Oh god, that is sheer genius, I love it.

Hmm, I don't know about the Lucy idea. That just seems a little too... M.Night Shamalamalan or however his name is spelled. "Lucy's not sarah! She's Fiona! What a twist! (<- Robot Chicken Reference). Plus I like conscience entirely better than Lucy, and no one who only reads the book would know who who Lucy is at the end of part one. Conscience, on the other hand, they would have come to know and love. And foster strong desires to party with.

Oh yeah, it wouldn't work for THIS book, but for a later one, after the audience knows who Lucy is, it'd be great.

Don't yo just love parents? Mine are extremely narrow minded in a lot of ways, not just homophobia. My mother once said that if a black person was attractive it was because they had some white in them somewhere. My mother's words, not mine.

Nice to see someone who shares my problem. Books come in a plain brown bubble envelope, nothing overtly gay about it at all. Until you open it, of course.

Megan, you should offer a service, for a small added fee, of shipping the books inside a big hollowed-out Bible.

Also second idea: Fiona and Lia on a date. Like, an outside, activity date (maybe their first "official" date?). I'm not sure but I don't think anything like that was ever shown. Say they go see the movie version of the weird kitty cartoon show. ("Two hours and I still don't know what the hell...? Movies are weird.") Maybe a trip to an amusement park, or a concert.
