Soo... Nod is (almost) hollow! Its core was made of some weird radioactive something that decayed into some form of gas over time, which escaped to the surface and, as the planet mass descreased, started escaping to the atmosphere, the shell being somehow strong enough not to collapse?

Any similarities between this radioactive core material and apllied phlebotinum are a mere coincidence. Go on. Nothing to see here.

That would be complicated. As materials cement on top of each other, the core tends to compress. Hence why I went with the turned-to-something-else route; of course, Nod would have to have LOTS of pre-historic geisers or other ways of ventilation, otherwise it would just blow up under the gas pressure.

Or did it only happen like that in the recent Alice and Wonderland movie? (I never did get around to reading "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" or "Through the Looking Glass")

I remember hearing that the current ending wasn't the first one you decided on. What would have happened in the other endings?
