I do that occasionally. Anyway, it's pretty self explanatory. It's called "What's in a name?" Please don't steal it!

----------------------------
I speak of love
and I am called hippy.

You speak of anger
and you are called Christian.

I speak of sharing
and I am called communist.

You speak of condemnation
and you are called Christian.

I speak of acceptance
and I am called leftist.

You speak of intolerance
and you are called Christian.

I speak of open-mindedness
and I am called immoral.

You speak of judgement
and you are called Christian.

I speak of forgiveness
and I am called weak.

You speak of putting to death
and you are called Christian.

You are called Christian
and you speak of anger.

You are called Christian
and you speak of condemnation.

You are called Christian
and you speak of intolerance.

You are called Christian
and you speak of judgement.

You are called Christian
and you speak of putting to death.

I am called many things
and I speak of love, sharing, acceptance, open-mindedness, and forgiveness.

I’d like to be called Christian
but I’d hate for people to think
that you and I are on the same side.

Genius. I hate how people don't practice what they preach. A friend of mine once said, "You're an atheist, and you're more Christian than most Christians I know." And he was absolutely right, and now I'm passing the message to you (Minus the "you're an atheist" part, obviously) and you've put that beautifully right here. Nowadays, being a Christian seems to mean "agreeing with everything Fox News and the Minister tells you and not thinking for yourself for once and trying to separate the bullshit from the right thing to do". I'm glad to know people who think like you (I have the fortune of knowing such people in real life, too, and I am grateful for them). It gives me a bit of hope for the future.

But yeah, awesome poem. Great job :3
